There’s plenty of reasons to visit the Taupō region. And if you’re lucky enough to stop by for a couple of days, there are a bunch of epic things you need to fit into your itinerary. 

In fact, there’s so much to see and do that you may feel a tad overwhelmed deciding on the right way to maximise your time in town. So, depending on what you’re in Taupō for and what you like to do when you’re on holiday, here’s a few ideas to get you started.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home.
