Fundraising

Each year we have heaps of riders ask if they can use the event to raise funds for charity. We’re excited to have adopted a multi-charity approach and have teamed up with Grassrootz so you can raise funds for your favourite charity.

We’re thrilled to have Heart Kids NZ, Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ and I AM HOPE as our Hero Charities for this year’s event. If you don’t have a charity of choice you can help these wonderful charities by setting up an online fundraising page and making a donation when you do your online entry. They would love your support.

Every day, 10 New Zealanders will hear the words: “I’m so sorry, you have prostate cancer.”

Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ is an independent charity, community funded and receives no government support. We rely on the generosity of kind-hearted kiwis like you to help fund our support services for men living with prostate cancer and their whānau including:

  • free nurse-led Information Service

  • free 24/7 Counselling Service

  • Support Groups and Online Support Forum

  • free educational resources.

Your gift today can help make sure that no one will have to go through the heartbreak of prostate cancer without the support they need.

This week, 12 Kiwi families will be told the devastating news that their child has a heart condition. These families need support.

Heart Kids NZ is the only national organisation in Aotearoa NZ providing, vital practical and emotional support services to help children and families cope with the day-to-day challenges of living with a childhood heart condition.

We have specialist family support staff across the country proving direct support to heart families in hospitals and in the community.  Our services are free of charge and as we receive no government funding we rely on the generosity of kind-hearted kiwis to help fund our support services.

To lose a child to suicide is every parents worst nightmare!

I AM HOPE has one goal - positive societal attitudinal change. We know our youth struggle with distressing self-talk and overthinking, leaving them feeling isolated and alone.

When we show them these thoughts are universal, we can give our kids a better life.

Over the past 10 years, we have spoken and listened to over 300,000 kids in schools from the top to the bottom of New Zealand.

We have created books for our youngest kids, barista trained struggling youth with community coffee carts, and enabled free counselling for over 10,000 young people.
