SH41 Traffic Lights
For our Round The Lake and Enduro riders, a section of SH41 is currently down to one lane due to a slip.
This is currently controlled by traffic lights. From 7.30am on event day (Saturday 25 November), the lights will be turned off and the site will be controlled by our Traffic Management team. Cyclists and south-bound traffic will be given priority, with north-bound traffic likely to be delayed. We will do our absolute best to not stop our riders, especially the large pelotons. However, in some instances, we may have to stop riders if north-bound traffic is released. Please note that Enduro riders will need to abide by the traffic lights in their first lap, and for all riders, the traffic light system may be re-introduced later in the day. This is for the safety of all, we do not want cyclists entering the one lane system with vehicles coming the other way!
As per our Terms and Conditions, any participant who is seen to be breaking the NZ Road Rules at any time may be disqualified from the event.
