Catchup with Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge Ambassadors: Bryony Botha
Taupō local and Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge veteran, Libby O’Brien recently had the privilege of sitting down for a chat with one our awesome ambassadors, Bryony Botha.
Bryony Botha, a powerhouse member of the NZ Track Cycling Team, boasts an impressive track record with appearances at both the Commonwealth Games and the Tokyo Olympics. She recently clinched Silver medal in the Women’s Team Pursuit at the Paris Olympics, and she's now gearing up for the 'Shimano Round The Lake' event this November.
In her chat with Libby, Bryony shared how she prepares for the Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge, and her top tips for nutrition on event day.
Want to know the time she hopes to do the Shimano Round the Lake in? You’ll have to listen to find out…hint: she wants to beat her Dad’s time.
P.s. Apologies for the few connectivity glitches in the video.
