Information around Vaccinations for Large Events
The Government has announced its intention to mandate vaccination certificates for large events, for both participants and personnel, as well as a move away from current Alert Levels to a new Traffic Light System.
While this is a positive development towards allowing us to go ahead, we are still awaiting further official information from government on exactly what this will look like.
Under the new Traffic Light System, we will be able to go ahead under both an Orange or Green light provided everyone is fully vaccinated.
With the government making it clear that if you wish to attend large events you will need to be fully vaccinated, if you’re planning to be part of the BDO Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, and if you haven’t already, now is a good time to book your vaccination appointment.
We appreciate people’s right to choose, however we need to plan around the fact that all people attending the event will be fully vaccinated. If you have chosen to not receive the vaccination and will not do so prior to the event date, please contact us at email@example.com
With the health and safety of all our participants, staff and volunteers at the forefront of what we do, the BDO Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge adheres to the Events Sector Voluntary Code for Covid-19.
Key points to note are:
- If you feel unwell, have cold, flu or Covid19 symptoms, please stay home
- We will be contact tracing at our event. Please use the NZ COVID Tracer QR code’s located on venue or sign in using the manual register.
- We encourage you to wear a mask when indoors, when you cannot maintain physical distance from others, or are around others you don’t know.
- Maintain good hygiene measures, including washing your hands, coughing or sneezing into your elbow.
