BDO Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge COVID - 19 update

Dear Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge supporter,

We hope you're well and are now used to the new normal within your bubbles.

We’re looking forward to hearing more, (as we’re sure you are too), over the coming week or so on what the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation may hold for us all.

In the meantime, we thought we would get in touch to update you on our thinking so far. At this stage we are still planning to hold the BDO Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge on November 14, 2020 with the event organising committee closely monitoring the situation on a weekly basis.

Whilst we are excited about being able to provide you all with the opportunity to participate in our event in November we are very mindful of the long term implications of COVID19 and the impact it could have on mass participation events in the future. We will keep you updated as we get a better understanding of where this thing will take us.

At this stage we are still planning on opening entries on July 1 but again we will wait and see how things progress before asking you to sign up.

We are still working behind the scenes on our planning and preparation and look forward to bringing you an awesome event experience and a chance to get out on the road and mountain bike tracks.

We are thinking of our riding community and each and every one of you in these times, and while we continue at the current level 4 lockdown, when you’re exercising, please remember to:
Stay at least 2 metres away from anyone else
Exercise indoors or in your immediate neighbourhood only
Don’t do anything to put yourself or others at risk

Stay Safe, Stay Home
Kia kaha.
