Get in on the fast paced action of our elite races - and be in to win prize money! Show us what you're made of as you compete to be the fastest around the lake, or ride the BDO Huka Challenge MTB race.

You must have a current National Racing Licence or an International Licence from your country’s cycling association to enter our elite races (or check the other criteria for the BDO Huka Challenge). 

Elite Men's Open

The Elite Men's Open is for to licensed elite men riders. Elite riders compete for significant prize money at each year’s BDO Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge.

Elite Women's Open

135km

The Elite Women's Open is open to licensed elite women riders. Compete for significant prize money at each year’s BDO Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge.
